I'm using Kiwi syslog server 9 on Windows 2008 R2 server (VMware virtual machine). On 17.8.2012. physical server has stopped responding and customer had to restart it manually. Since then Kiwi syslog server doesn't work. When I try to access it, server's CPU raises to 100%, it is stuck like that for few minutes and then it displays error message in Kiwi grid pop up window saying 'Run-time error '0''.
kiwi syslog server 9.3.4 cracked
We have installed on Kiwi Syslog Server in a workstation in the hopes of displaying syslog messages from our Cisco Catalyst 3560G switch. We entered the following commands into the 3560G switch to turn logging on and direct those messages to the Kiwi Syslog server. The Cisco IOS commands we entered were as follows:
I am trying to send events from a Cisco 3750 switch to our Kiwi syslog server but am unsure of the config for the switch.Should the following work:Switch (config) # logging onSwitch (config) # logging Syslog Server IPSwitch (config) # logging trap errorThis command will send (Error 3) events (0-3) to the Kiwi server via UDP514. Is this the supported method of transfer?
Installed Kiwi Syslog Free version 9.3.4 on Windows Server 2008 R2. Trying to capture syslog from a Cisco ASA 5510. I have confirmed that the syslog events are hitting the server with Wireshark. Nothing is coming through to Kiwi Syslog. Current settings are all default. No filters in place. Not sure what is wrong as I can see the syslog messages coming through Wireshark. Any ideas as to why the syslog messages are not being seen by Kiwi?
I have a stream of cisco event coming into Kiwi Syslog and I have filtered out some traffic to limit what I want to forward to another unix host. I have kiwi outputting to a display and writing to a log file and both are recording only the filtered events. When I check my syslog on the target unix host, all event are being forwarded and not just the filtered events. Does "Forward to another hosts" send all events and ignore the filtering or have I am I doing something silly ? I have recreated my settings and moved them up and down my list of captures.
I am setting up a kiwi syslog server. Running into a problem with the filtering not working the way I would expect. I have used Kiwi but that was several years ago. I have setup a display for a specific switch and have tried several different filter possibilities but still getting syslog messages on the display that dont belong to the switch I am trying to watch. 2ff7e9595c
